If you’re visiting Shaxi, China, you might notice that there’s a very specific fashion trend for women. To put it simply, you must wear a hat.
Not just any hat. A flouncy, frilly hat with bows is best.
Though if you want to, you can also go for something a bit plainer, maybe a straw hat decorated with a pretty ribbon or some flowers.
Just make sure you can still see!
But maybe you’re not up with the current fashion trends, or you just can’t afford a fancy lacy hat.
Or maybe you just don’t want to draw such attention to yourself. That’s ok. You can wear a low-key straw hat.
Or maybe you really want to make a statement! Maybe you’ll decide to wear two hats!
